Summertime in Southeastern Michigan
It’s hard to believe it’s been over 8 months since I’ve seen my family! Due to COVID and living 8 hours away from my dad’s side of the family, weekend visits weren’t possible. However, it just makes being reunited that much sweeter. I drove in on Sunday night and have been lucky enough to meet my cousin, Katie’s, firstborn, Whitney, my Aunt Julie’s new pup, Teddy, and had lots of fun in the sun with my cousin’s girls. :) When I go to Detroit, my parents and I stay with my Grandma Doris and Papa George. They are 93 and 91 years young. One of my favorite things, when I get to visit them, is every morning my Grandma Doris has a fresh pot of coffee ready for me. You guys already know a cup of coffee is the way to my heart! We have been blessed with the most beautiful, sunny weather here in Pure Michigan. I’m so happy I got to come up for a visit.
